This Wednesday, March 3rd I'm hosting a meeting
about the upcoming renovation of Dolores Park
with Recreation and Park at 6:00 p.m. @ Dolores
Park Church, 455 Dolores Street.
Over 150
people attended last week's Noe Valley meeting
to discuss legislation I've proposed to remove
the caps on new restaurants on 24th Street and
require a conditional use approval so the
community has a strong voice in determining that
a restaurant use will be beneficial for the
community,
On March 25th,

Nicolas
King, who has been a wonderful asset as
my Legislative Aide for the past two years, is
re-joining Mayor Newsom to
serve as his Public Safety Policy Advisor.
I am proud that Nicolas will be providing a
high-level of leadership and coordination for
our City's Public Safety Departments with the
Mayor's Office. He has been a tremendous member
of our office providing a calm presence and
thoughtful analysis of the most complex issues.
I am also pleased that Alex Randolph
is now with my office. Many of you know Alex
from working as the Mayor's Liaison to District
8 and the LGBT community for the past three
years. Alex also was manager of my 2006
re-election campaign. Alex can be reached at
(415) 554-6986 or

Saturday was a big day, this '55 Baby turned 55
with dim sum at Yank Sing. Later we celebrated
the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese New Year's
Parade. My wonderful friend Assemblywoman Fiona
Ma joined Sidney and I before the Parade. Thanks
to Richard Webster for his '64 Cadillac
convertible!
